What Else Can a Yoda From Minnesoda Teach You About Shooting Hoops?
Now In The Privacy Of Your Own Driveway You Can Unlock The Coaching Secrets Of The World-Class Jumpshot For Yourself
When we last saw our intrepid Jedi knight he was initiating you into the elemental mysteries of the pure shooter. Now he wants to take you into the inner sanctum and teach you everything he knows. No holding back. No longer will you be called apprentice. Now you will be known as Master. A teacher in your own right you will be.
Like the proverb Coach Tom Nordland believes if you give a man a fish you feed him for a day, but if you teach him to fish you feed him for a lifetime. Tom has already taught you the basic elements of shooting in his first Swish DVD. Now it's time for you to stand on your own two feet and become a teacher. Whether it's teaching yourself the finer points of shooting, coaching the players on your team, or coaching your son or daughter, are you ready for the next step?
Nine years ago Swish 1 set forth the vision for what is possible in a simple-to-understand natural method of shooting, and tens of thousands of shooters have had the lightbulb go off in their heads. They have believed great shooting was possible for every boy and girl, man and woman who stepped on the court.
Ever since Tom came out with his best-selling Swish 1 DVD though he has been frustrated. Sure he had created a way to teach shooting that children could quickly grasp and even 'bad' shooters could catch on to, but that wasn't enough.
For a man with a vision to usher in a revival in the art of shooting Swish 1 was a strong start. His DVD laid out the fundamentals simply and elegantly. The problem is though it was just that, a start. Tom was refining the way he taught Swish all the time, but the only people who got the full benefit were those he taught in person. And gifted as he was Tom could only be in one place at one time.
Shooting Coach Clones Himself
Well not really, but believe me. He sure wanted to.
Fortunately for you the story didn't end there, and Tom's not frustrated any more. Instead he has masterfully produced a sequel to Swish that is twice as long and twice as complete. It includes everything the man's learned about shooting in the past nine years. Even more it's set up so you will learn to coach the Swish Method for yourself.

With the radical new Swish 2 DVD you can learn the finer points of shooting hoops, have a slew of new drills, and be able to absorb Tom's philosophy on learning for yourself. If you're a coach you can now expect to help boost the shooting performance of even your weakest shooters. And Tom's also very excited because parents will now be able to do a huge part in seeing their kids become true sharpshooters.

Coach Tom Speaks Out
Initially the making of Swish 1 in 1997 represented a way for me to translate into video form the simple techniques and shooting drills I had developed in a lifetime of shooting and over two decades of teaching. Coaches and players kept asking me for more ... and from nine years of additional study and refinement Swish 2 was created to expand and complete this powerful way to approach shooting.
It's amazing that the game's most critical aspect is so poorly understood and performed and so ineffectively coached. Estimates are there are over 40 million Americans and 250 million people worldwide who play, coach, and love the game of basketball. Virtually every one of them is looking for what is in the Swish videos. They want to learn how to make baskets consistently, at will, even under great pressure. Some may think this impossible, but it is not. You just have to understand and apply a few simple techniques to greatly improve your shooting, practically overnight.

It sounds good to ask or require kids to shoot a set number of shots per week or month, and have them record it, keep a log, etc. It seems to be an effective strategy, and some learning will happen just by the huge number of repetitions. Its how a lot of us learned things, but its a slow way, and often times does not result in the shifts in performance we want. How many people go through their tennis lives with a tentative, ineffective backhand, even though they have hit thousands of backhands?
Hold on. I already know about Tom's stellar work with Swish 1 and WANT TO GET STARTED RIGHT AWAY on Swish 2. Brilliant idea.

This Looks Like Its Only For Coaches
Swish 2 is ideal for coaches who want to teach their teams the Swish Method. It is filled with practical drills and progressive building blocks for learning to shoot. Coaches no longer have to feel like they are glossing over any important information, plus the Swish method is extended to real world situations like shooting off the pass and shooting off the dribble. There is also an emphasis on awareness and self-learning though which makes this more than a coaches video.
It is also for parents who wants to teach their kids to be outstanding shooters. The progressive steps are easy for children at all levels to grasp and begin to put into practice. Parents no longer need to feel inadequate in the shooting arena. They will be enpowered to make a real significant difference with Swish 2.
Motivated players will also be able to coach themselves and learn how to grow in their shooting ability. Coach Tom is all about imparting awareness and self-learning. He believes real education, that which stays with you and changes you is always self-education anyway. A coach or parent can show you what they want, but it's not till the lightbulb goes off inside the student's head that real learning takes place.
As Coach Tom Nordland Pours Out His Wisdom and Experience You Will Learn To:
- Recognize and practice discovery-based learning
- Live in the cycle of awareness
- Gain the respect of your team
- Have real fun on the basketball court. What is more fun than consistently putting the ball in the basket?
- Believe in yourself on a deeper level
- Practice more effectively on your own
- Use defensive pressure to amplify your focus and concentration
- Sink free throws like a machine
- Vary the arch of your shot as needed
- Become a more instinctive shooter
- Coach your team to new offensive heights
- Show fluid artistry in your shot
- Nurture a true love of shooting hoops

Check out what others have had to say about Swish:
"Swish 2, Where should I start?"
"I received it in the mail. Watched it and LOVED EVERY MINUTE OF IT. Swish 2 was simply amazing and definitely a lot better than Swish 1. It was wonderfully put together and very easy to understand. In my opinion Swish 1 was really just a Demo compared to Swish 2. Mr. Nordland all praise goes to you for creating such a great and inspiring video. I went to the court the same day after I watched the video and played some pick-up games and made every shot from everywhere. Everyone was amazed and I couldn't be stopped. Thanks to you, I have now completely mastered The Swish Method and I now have the perfect weapon to succeed in college basketball and basketball period. Thank you again Mr. Nordland. The price for the video could never repay the gift you have given me."
--Evan L., East Amherst, NY (age 18)
"Swish 2 brings the essence of great shooting to you in a 1 hour 56 minute package. Grab a latte and a notepad and watch it. If you don't have a notepad, don't worry. When the video is over, you will understand the method. I think any ordinary parent or player could view this DVD, view it, and understand exactly what Tom talks about - and feel motivated to go right out and try it."
-- Coach Steve Jordan, Anchorage, Alaska
"I've spent 28 years coaching and have every available video on shooting, but none of them teaches how to achieve consistency and accuracy like Swish does. My girls learned more in the first hour than what used to take months."
-- W. Slobik, Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada
"This rapid improvement doesn't seem likely but I think many people, perhaps even yourself (though I doubt it), do not realize the effects that this video has on a player's entire game. For me my new shot was almost instant. After a week of constant shooting using your video's principles I was dishing up high arching consistent beautiful shots. My new shot inspired me to train harder in every other part of my game. It was like "man this game isn't as hard as I thought it was, if I just train hard and try to do things the right way i'll get better." So that's what I did. My new shot made me enjoy playing the game more, it gave me confidence. My training workload has increased by 6 hours a week since I purchased your video. I most definitely blame your video for inspiring my new found work ethic and love of the game.
"Thanks again Tom for all your help."
-- Kane H., Australia
"The boys are getting to be 'automatic!'"
-- Don V.
"Swish is a must see for anyone who wants to improve their shooting!"
-- Morgan Wooten, Head Coach, DeMatha High School, Washington D.C. Compiled
a 1,274-192 (.868) record, first all-time among high school basketball coaches and the highest winning percentage in the country. Hall of Fame Oct. 2000.
"I think it [the Swish video] is excellent. I would recommend it highly for players and coaches on any level."
-- Lute Olson, University of Arizona (1997 National Champions)

Personally I think Coach Nordland is still a little out of his mind pricing Swish 2 at $29.95. It is easily worth triple that, but I will honor his wishes.
