Skeptics Welcome Here

I know some people are skeptical about all this
inner-game, mind power, cybernetics stuff. Even
though it has worked over and over in situations
from golfing to going to the moon, these people
haven't seen anything unexpected happening in
their lives.

Unless you can hit them over the head with the
mental equivalent of a 2 x 4, whatever you say,
their first response is to doubt.

"How do you know that's true?" is their mantra.

Maybe they all have some connection to Missouri,
the "Show Me" state.

I understand that mindset. I was trained in the
sciences and have a Master's Degree in Electronic
Engineering with a Digital Design emphasis from
the University of Missouri at Rolla. That's the way
we were taught to think. I've since found out
though it's just part of the big picture.

And that's not bad. It drives the scientific method,
and it protects us from scams. It's just limited.

To be consistent and intellectually honest though
shouldn't the skeptic eventually come to doubt his
own doubts. What if his assumptions are wrong?
What if the universe is not just an external,
objective, material reality.

What if it is subjective, fluid, and we are meant to
be co-creators of our own reality and future. If it
is even partially affected by our thoughts, beliefs,
feelings, and decisions then approaching it from a
position of doubt means you're guaranteed to cut
off a huge chunk of your potential. And in my
experience it would be the best part.
