The Accidental Tourist

My wife and I did the tourist thing today in Cozumel,
Mexico. I had on a t-shirt that said 'Vote For Pedro,
and all your dreams will be filled' from the Napolean
Dynamite movie. My kids gave it to me, and the
Mexicans loved it.

There's another movie called 'The Accidental Tourist'
That wasn't us. We knew what we were looking for,
and we got it.

Got me thinking though there are two kinds of people
in the world. Those who live deliberately, with purpose,
going after what they desire, making things happen.
And those who live accidently and take what life gives
them by default.

The former work from a pool of resources limited
mostly by their own internal imagination and
creativity . They tap into the abundance of the
universe and take responsibility for what happens
with their lives.

The latter work from a pool of chance. They might get
what they need and they might not, but everything
happens to them, and they either feel lucky or a
victim.

As shooters you should be in the first group. You
already know you want to win, to be champions, to
be popular, etc. There is something you want from
the basketball experience. And if you work on
clearing out your mental limitations the sky is the
limit.
